it looks fine to me. its just 200 bucks and the coating feels like the mil m4 barrel coating.. and beside i always have the GAP 10 if i want perfection. i will hopefully shoot it this weekend if i can get away from the family and let you know how it goes...
here is a reply when i asked about accuracy..
Hi,
we start with Shilen and Bergara blanks. The bores are well polished and break in if any is minimal.
On the 1:7 twists I tested at the bench( 100 yd for groups) I tested 69 Gr Sierra BT match with Varget powder and
had groups as small as .300 and many .500 of an inch
and yes the thread protector is ugly as sin, im still waiting on my muzzle device to come in... i just had it laying around in my spare parts box and decided to use it
150 bucks a barrel I doubt they are shilen blanks. Bergara are cheap but it shouldn't blow up in your face or anything like that. Sometimes cheap barrels turn out to be good shooters I know I had a Bulldog barrel from JSE Surplus that shot very tight with varget and match bullets, better than my white oak, and I think they were selling them for 150$.
Yeah I figured what the hell, its a replaceable part anyway.... and new companies don't have the same brand recognition as the big names.. but sometimes u find a diamond in the rough
A good friend I was enlisted with, whom I shoot with regularly, bought one and it shot four inch groups at hundred.
Called their office and never could get anyone to answer or even call back.
Is rather spend money on a company who cares about their customers, and four inch groups, really???? I mean damn.
