Won a 40% off ticket at my last match. Priced out a Havak and it. Rings down the bottom line quit a bit. Looking for some first hand feedback before I......wait for it.......pull the trigger! And order one. Thoughts and reviews welcomed please. I'm not an awesome shooter by any means, but i dont miss all the plates either. It would be a step up from my PCR i use at the local matches. Looking for a durable, long lasting match gun I will be able to run with for a while. Love a 700 action, hate it when they stick and bind though. From what I have read about these actions they are tight from the box but cycle really well after a few rounds. Thanks for your time.

They are a good action once you get past the binding. I found it was the bolt stop to be the root cause of the binding in mine. Slightly knocked down the razor sharp edges of the peice that fit in the bolt slot and it was way better. Biggest downside to the action design is the mag catch has to be shortened (meaning the mag sits lower) so the lug can pic up the next round. So if you ever had to rest on the magazine and cycle the gun the bolt won’t go past the feed lips. I think AW mags could alleviate some of this but again takes time to tune mag and the mag catch to those mags. 40% off would be a stellar price for it.

I've got a Havak Bravo in 6.5CM. I've put 90 rounds through it so far and I have 0 complaints. It shoots very well. I haven't seen a group even close to being over an MOA at 100 yards yet, and all I've shot out of it is factory ammo. I think it would be pretty hard to beat for the money. If I could find one in 300PRC I wouldn't be sad to have that one as well.
