I've got a Mark 6 3-18 and I've got myself an Aimpoint T1. Read a little on the DAGR system. Is it any good? What is the T1 primarily used for? 0-100m? 0-300? Also, what other mounting systems are available? Does LaRue make something similar to the DAGR? Are there better options? Interested in hearing about this.

You might consider the Knights Armament off set sights. They are extremely low profile, add minimal weight and flip down when not in use. I'm not a fan of the DAGR set up. Consistency of chin weld was tough and there were dramatic shifts in POI when shooting from say 10yds then transitioning to 75yds. The angle just seemed too significant to accurately and quickly hit targets at varying sub-100 yd ranges. The 45 degree offset has suited me personally much better. Co-witnessing with a T-1 or any other MRDS is also an option with this type of set up.

Is the T-1 the best red dot for such a setup, or should I stick with the Trijicon RMR (or similar)?

an offset Trijicon is better. I like aimpoint, I own 3 of them. Great sights, but the Trijicon is better as a backup, it takes up less room. Plus since this is an emergency close range sight, the 1 moa larger dot makes the acquisition faster.

The placement on the reddot really depends on the rifle i Think.
I have a number of secondary sights and I use them.
On a rifle like a TRG or similar Heavy bolt rifle i prefer 12 o'clock as it's easy to find.
But if the knobs are really to high the 1,30 o'clock works better.
But the 1,30 is what I prefer the least as there is no good reference to the gun and I find that is the most difficult to use.

The 5 o'clock is really great on a carbine as you keep the cheekweld and just roll the gun.

I jsut bought a Spuhr mount 4603b and put a Trijicon rmr on the 45 angle mount with the appropriate spacer. looks good now I need my Beast to come in. I too debated the rmr vs, t1 also. In the end the rmr is less obtrusive and fast target aquisition.
