Hawkeye Long Dist 6.5 PRC came in with loose muzzle break

The muzzle break nearly fell of in my hand while unpacking the rifle.

That's a concern. Anyone had this?
What to do?

There are lots of top notch gunsmiths on this forum, but to get much help you will need to put in a little effort.
Ask your question in an appropriate area, aka the gunsmith, bolt action, or stupid questions threads.
Also post a photo or two so we can see what you are talking about.

I am assuming your rifle is a Ruger, if so you can always contact them with any concerns

Hello,

I am new to this forum, and didn't see anywhere to do that. Stl learning this layout.

I did immediately send the question to Ruger and to the gun shop I picked it up from. Both are closed till Monday however.

So I thought I'd drop a line here to see if anyone had input. I will find the "gunsmith" area.

I would turn it to the right until it stops.

I know how to install them...just never had a new rifle come in with one loose out of the box.

Have you had that occur?
