HBN question about “polishing”

I’m new to HBN coating and wanted to know how much polishing you guys recommended after you’ve applied it to your bullets.
Two pics: one is bullets just lightly rubbed around on a towel after application.
The other I took individual bullets and rubbed them with a towel until the bulk of the white was off. They feel way slicker with the majority of the HBN rubbed off.

I make mine look like your second photo. They seem to shoot well.

Same here.

I just rub them around in a towel to get the excess off, since it's sub micron you only taking the excess off by doing that.
