Heads up, Midway shooting mats on sale.

Re: Heads up, Midway shooting mats on sale.

I have one of the newer competition mats from Midway and I like it. However, it's a heavy SOB and is huge when it's rolled up. I feel like I'm carrying a sleeping bag with me. I use in at home for practice with my IOTA. I also use it for sit ups and stuff like that. It's a nice mat and it's built very well.

I don't have a TAB mat yet but they look awesome. The biggest benefit that draws me to the TAB mat is that it's so compact when rolled up and it weighs next to nothing.

I don't think you can go wrong with either mat. I'm happy with my Midway mat but I think if I had it to do over again I would buy the TAB mat. I'm all about carrying less crap with me. https://www.riflesonly.com/proshop/media...b_mat_600_4.jpg

OK. TAB it is then. The Midway looks great but I need a small packable mat. Thanks.

If you want small and packable...then the Midway mats are definitely NOT what you want. They are huge, heavy and not something that I'd want to be hiking around with for any extended period of time. That said, for the money, they make great range mats when portability/weight are less of a concern than for field use.

I've never seen them NOT on sale

That said I've got both the small and large ones, and everything said about them is true. They are good mats, but I only use them for the range.

Thanks for the heads up, Alot of Midway's stuff has been on sale recently. I think I'm going to take advantage of this yet again.
