Range Report Heated Ammo ?

I shoot alot of 50Bmg comp and some of us heat our ammo before shooting,especially when loaded with the temp sensative V V powders.Has anyone tried heating the smaller caliber ammo to see if the performance and group size improve ?

I understand the concept, but don't favor this approach. I have, however, kept ammo (V-V N550) in a cooler on especially hot days, and it made the difference beween blown primers and not blown primers.

me thinks famous national champion has written about this very topic in one of his many books....you got to know when and time it accordingly ....seems to work for him
