I have just bought a new scope and I have ordered a bagder ordnance base for it. I don't have the base in hand yet and it will probably be a day or two till I do. I need to know the height of the base so I can get the correct rings. Does anybody know what the height of the badger ordnance 20 moa base for a remingtion 700 long action, part number 30607A? It is a single piece base.

I would just wait and measure it my self but I am trying to get everything here before this weekend, so I am kind of in a hurry. I have looked online and cannot find the height for the base anywhere. Thanks for any help provided.

Re: height of badger ordnance base?

Tell us the scope(Obj size) and rifle(barrel contour if you know it) and we can tell you which rings. No need for long drawn out math problems to figure out ring height.

Re: height of badger ordnance base?

I think I have it figured out if the base I am talking about is 7mm. I believe I need rings with a base to center line measurement of .87 inches, to fit scope with butler creeks. I would probably get just slightly bigger, like .95" or somthing like the IOR .250".

Just to make sure I am right, the objective is 50mm. The barrel is a heavy contor (remington 700 sendero).

Thanks for the help.

Re: height of badger ordnance base?

I have a Badger 20 moa base and their "standard height" rings (.823") mounting a MK4 6.5-20x50 with Butler Creek covers on a Remmy 5R.

The cover is close to the barrel, but not touching.

Re: height of badger ordnance base?

Thanks for the help guys, getting the IOR low rings. Originally I was going with the vortex pmr rings and ordered them from liberty optics, scott sent me an email the next day saying he thought those were on back order and asked me what I wanted to do. Then I sent him an email asked him if he had any other 35mm rings, he said yes. Then I sent him back an email saying I would take what he had if they were close to the same quality.

After this I got to thinking that I might need higher rings than I originally thought and that is why I asked y'all. Then at the same time sent Scott another email telling him what I needed and asking if he could get it here by the end of the week if possible. He sent me one back in less than an hour saying that he would get the scope and rings shipped out tommorow and should be here by friday.

I say all of this just to let everyone know (which most of you already do) that Scott was great to work with. He let me know right after I ordered the rings that they were on backorder and responded to all my emails very quickly (2 of them in less than an hour). I chose to order my scope thru liberty optics because I had heard good things on the here about Scott and I thank everyone who suggested using him.
