Has anyone used the Area419 Hellfire 2P brake? I am considering one for my 18" AR-10. I emailed Area419 last week inquiring about the difference between the regular Hellfire brake and the Hellfire 2P but have not heard back yet. I am curious what if any difference I would see using either brake.

From what I've seen of the 2P, the main differences are that it has two ports rather than three, and the port angle is 5 degrees instead of 15. You'll see less recoil reduction in comparison to a Hellfire brake, but the "cone" behind the blast will be bigger (blast wave directed more outwards than backwards). It'll result in the brake sounding quieter to the shooter and possibly other shooters on the line....but it's a brake. It'll be loud.

I heard back from Area 419 today. They said the recoil reduction is less with the 2 port and it blows out more to the side vs the 3 port. They recommend the 2 port for hunting or 3 gun vs the 3 port for precision shooting.
