Just got into precision shooting after wanting to improve my distance shooting with my Ruger American and M1A.

I recently purchased an RPR in 338 lapua magnum and took an intermediate course long range class with Ghost Firearms Training. It a great class and learned a lot. Prior to taking this course I've never shot beyond 300 yards.

I have put some new additions on my 338 RPR.

  • LRA Sendit electronic level
  • Accu-Shot BT-47 LW17 bipod
  • HopticUSA 2 round quiver
  • Anarchy Outdoors Caparison cheek pad
  • Anarchy Outdoors Tuxedo precision grip
  • Anarchy Outdoors Dragon scale bolt knob
  • Anarchy Outdoors bolt handle upgrade
  • Anarchy Outdoors Polished titanium fluted bolt shroud
  • Anarchy Outdoors extended mag release
Waiting on funds to get a Timney drop in trigger and Terminator muzzle brake.

Also ordered an Arken EP5 5-25x56 MRAD FFP scope to replace my Vortex Viper HST 6-24x50 MRAD SFP scope. After using the Arken, I was surprised how clear the glass was. The full 10 MIL turret is preferable over the 0-5 on the Vortex.

The turrets themselves also felt beefier compared to the small ones on the Vortex. The Arken also came with a zero stop.

I found after the second day of class while learning unknown range distancing and hold overs, it was significantly easier using an FFP.
