Hello from Middle Tennessee

Very new to shooting rifles and "long range" shooting. I live a little NE of NashVegas. I travel a lot (like 48 weeks out of town, Sunday thru Wednesday or Thursday) so I only get to shoot about once a week.

I have a Savage GRS10 6.5 creedmoor with a Bushnell 4.5-30x50 XRS II H59 reticle scope & shoot factory ammo, as I don't have the time to get into reloading

I feel fairly comforable out to 600 yards, which I've shot out to quite a bit at the CMP range in Talladega, AL. I did shoot out to 1000 yards back in late April at Old #9 range near Comfort, Tx https://www.facebook.com/fatcat64/ 2 for 10 at 1000 yards was enough to get me hooked.

I belong to Nashville Armory (indoor range near downtown Nashville) and just joined Strategic Edge in Chapel Hill, TN, so I'm looking forward to working on my shooting and going thru their long range qualifier so I can shoot out to 1250.

I'm a retired PGA Golf professional (club pro, not Tour pro) who now is a photographer working out on the PGA Tour. I did photograph a PRS match at K&M in Finger, TN and plan on photgraphing a few more PRS matches.

I shoot at SE when I'm just having fun. Nice place to shoot. Tony runs a great facility.

You want to get into some highpower shooting, 600 and 1k in middle TN let me know. We have 2, 1000 yard KD rangers in TN. (AEDC in Tullahoma and Oak Ridge)

There are 600 yard ranges in Henry County and Memphis.

Dead Zero should be open next year with at least 1k.

Strategic Edge is a good range, I've been a member for 2 years. Rifle 1 is a good intro to precision shooting. Even if you aren't a newbie you might find some bad habits that you didn't realize you had.

I’m in Murfreesboro, relatively new to the area. Glad I came across this info, I’m working on getting a new build going and trying to get something lined up for a few range days come late August-September.

This gives me something to look into. Any other helpful info as to getting set up for access or options for a NC transplant (this area), please inform!

Thanks. I took the Ballistic class and Precision 1 with Tony. I had and still have plenty of bad habits.

I travel a lot too and am also moving soon. Recently started a thread looking for ranges. Most are a hike but may be convenient to know about. Search these threads:

Cincinnati and Northern KY LR Shooters?...

Anyone from North Central KY?

There are a couple more you can find if you dig. Also remember you can sometimes get better results if you use google and just include “snipers hide” in your search.
