Just finally dropping in to say hello. I did cheat and comment on a thread a couple of days ago, but nothing else.
I am fairly new to this type of shooting. I do have a nice .308 Rem M700, but it's a sporting type, had it for years and love it.
I plan to start accumulating the parts to start a build of an M40 style (not a clone) rifle as soon as funds allow, which might take me a while. Good thing I have the knowledge and tooling available to do much of the work myself. I guess it's time to start combing pawn shops and gunstores for a donor action.
