Welcome, made my home in Asheville from1984 - 2004 when it was even prettier. If you are close you might want to check out the Asheville Rifle and Pistol club. They only have a 200yd rifle range, but hold a lot of matches in all disciplines including black powder rifle, .22rimfire.

Sounds great; we're able to shoot a few times a week up here in the mountains. We have steel setup from 100 to 700 yards so we're pretty spoiled. I don't think I could stand shooting at a flat range again
