Rifle Scopes Help a new guy with optics

When it comes to optics I've always just bought what was offered at bass pro or cabellas. I just took their word on quality.. I didn't realize they were just salesmen until I joined the hide.. Here its just the opposite. There is just a huge amount of options/selections that I never could have imagined ever existed. The working knowledge that the members have amazes me. It's hard for a new guy to get a grip on all of it. So.. I need to buy a few things right now and instead of going thru thousands of posts I thought I'd just come right out and ask.. I'm looking for #1 a quick acquisition hologram. What is my best buy for under $125-$175-$250 marks. Im also looking for a smaller style low power scope. I guess any where between 2-5X for my AR in the same price ranges. I'll really appreciate any info and/or tips you can give me. Feel free to load up my mail box. Thanks in advance!!!

i guess you mean red dot sight i like lucid hd7 and the vortex sparc i have the sparc its a really good for 199 as far as scopes i like the milett DMS-1
