    Hey guys!!!

I have a brand new AR10 that won’t fire. It’S an Aero Precision upper/lower and BCG with a mega arms barrel and Gisselle trigger. No strike at all not even a light strike. Tried two different ammunition’s with the same results.

I checked the firing pin, it moves and protrudes the bolt face when pushed on.

    Any ideas?

Its possible the bolt isn't in battery due to a lack of headapacing. The firing pin will not extend past the bolt face unless it is completely in battery which is to prevent the rifle from blowing up. Did you check headspacing with go and no go gauges?

As was pointed out, ask your smith if he checked the head spacing on the chamber. If the trigger is installed properly and working properly and there is no primer strike check out your bolt carrier group. I would pull it apart, inspect the firing pin and make sure everything was put together correctly.

Just to clarify, are there any fp marks on the primers on the rounds that you tried to fire?

Nothing is loose (barrel nut, etc), right?

I’d take some close up pics of the bcg, bolt face, trigger area and post them...maybe someone will see something amiss.

Worst case, you chat with or send it back to your builder on Monday for resolution.

sounds like either its not going into full battery or something with the trigger install.

    1) Double check orientation of all the trigger parts and springs. With the upper off does the trigger hammer hit the end of the upper or the bolt catch when fired?

    2) separate the upper from lower and make sure the bolt can easily go into battery when pushing the BCG. You can see it twist and lock into the barrel. It should be tight in there. You can also try this with a DUMMY round. I caution against using live ammo to test anything. But you do what you feel comfortable doing.
