Howa HS Precision 300 winmag
Vortex Viper PST. GEN2 Vortex rings

I am looking for a bang for the buck Picatinny plan on hunting with it so either 0 or 20MOA rail.

what yall recommend?

TPS makes bases (in addition to rings) which are made to the mil-spec for picatinny rails, and have a built in recoil lug for heavier recoiling calibers. They go for $80-$90 from the usual suspects.

I haven't used one, but have a steel one (vs. aluminum) inbound this week from TPS for $89 for a new Rem 700 6.5CM build. I do have their TPS TSR rings, and those have been excellent for the half dozen or so years I've had them mounted to a Rem 700. Never have had to touch them since originally mounting them.

Have also used EGW bases on another Rem 700 and they have performed well too.
