Help finding an in-stock stock, optic options...

Rather than have a half dozen threads, I was hoping you folks could help me picking a stock, and a base/rings. My situation is not terribly unique. I'm interested in setting up a beginner rig, and picked up a R700 ACCSD as a base. Range access is only 300 yards currently. I need help getting some opitcs, rings, base, and a stock to replace this atrocious Hogue (way too much flex, it's killing me).

1) Can anyone name a 'good to go' fiberglass stock? Something more rigid than this Hogue. I'd like a HS Precision M24 Police, based on the pictures & reviews I've seen. Unfortunately it's not available anywhere. So, is there any decent stock more readily available? I'd like to keep my cost <$350.

2) Would TPS rings and base be 'sub-par' in any meaningful sense? Optic will either be SWFA or Vortex.

3) Well, #3 might be impossible to answer, and has another thread in 'optics'. I just don't know about spending the green on a variable FFP Vortex, or sticking with a 10x (or 12x?) SWFA SS.

Thanks for the help!

Ditto what goin' hot said about FFP. You only need it if you need to conveniently range targets, such as predator hunting or in UNKD comps. If you get an EGW base, I recommend you go on their website and order some torx screws; the hex head ones they provide strip pretty easily.
