leaving for afghanistan in late november, dont wanna use the standard issue ACOG, and in a sniper plt. wanna purchase the Leupold Mark AR scope, but need to find the scope rings that go with it. Any input on which rings to buy or reviews on the Mark AR would be greatly appreciated. thanks again

I would put a different scope on SWFA has two new models of Super Sniper one is a 3-9x42 First Focal Plane mildot reticle with 1/10 mil clicks. There is info about it on opticstalk.com
It cost $599.95 and was designed for the Squad Designated Marksman program. I would also order a "mildot master" from SWFA and a set of lens caps and killflash. With close range engagements likely the 3-9 variable will get you on target at close distances where a fixed 10x is better out past 100 meters. the 10x HD does have adjustable parallax and the 3-9 does not but the 3-9 will look clear and sharp at 25 meters and the 10x HD minimum focus distance is 50 meters. Both are well made and very nice glass.
The other new scope is a 10x42 HD High Definition Glass Heavy Duty and is a limited production made with a large military order.
One of the really cool things about using mildot reticle and mil based turrets is the you shoot a hole in the target then measure with the reticle how many mils it is off from the center then dial in the correction in mils next shot should be dead on. Very Fast much better than using mildot reticle with 1/4moa clicks. SWFA 1-972-SCOPE-IT (726-7348).
