I am looking for any tips on how to identify this rifle and its value if any.
The little I think I know is, it was made in Belgium in 1853 as a muzzle loader, and was modified in 1867 by the Belgium Government to fire some sort of cartridge. The barrel is a four groove, and measures about .460" in the grooves.

I have lots more photos of the proof markings and numbers which are all over this rifle.
I have never seen a rifle like this one before and really dont know where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks DMann.
It does look like the Albini Braendlin Infantry model rifle.
I would like to hear any suggestions or ideas on how to confirm this and any ideas on how to estimate a value.

    Thanks , Adam
