Well I'm stumped... I've been searching for the spacing dimensions of the subtentions on one of my scopes with no success. I'm hoping the shear size and knowledge of guys on SH can help a guy out!

Bought a Weaver 1.5-6x32mm scope from friend a few months ago for test of lower power optics. I've only just mounted to rifle and the trouble is I can't find the reticle dimensions on ANY of Weavers information sections nor is it even offered on their newer KASPA line. They now have a Zombie reticle that is only vaquely similar in that it has subtensions. Other than that no dice.

Has anyone seen/used this reticle that can provide spacing of subtensions and width of the various lines? I want to determine the spacing so I can develop holdover distances. Pictures here:

I would use a ruler/grid to determine spacing at known distance (I.e. 100 yards) but frankly its too far to see spacing against ruler effectively. If anyone has another idea for measuring spacing, I'm open to ideas!

Any and all help appreciated!

Try measuring out 50 yards with a tape and use a piece of foam poster board and place lines with a Sharpie every 1/2". This will translate to 1" @ 100 yards, brings the target closer for easier viewing with a 6X so you can get relative subtension data. What little I could find about this Ballistic X reticle is that it is designed to zero a 55gr FMJ at 200 yards with the hashmarks going from 200-500 while the width is that of a standard silhouette target so probably about 18".

Thanks TriggerMonkey! I found the similar info on the Ballistic X...did you notice that the graduations were reversed from the pictures above? I'm not sure how that works out but will definitely try the 50yard conversion. If that's too far for reticle/zoom I'll try reducing to 25 yards at 1/4 inch b spacing.

Side note: would a reticle/scope test target provide the same feedback? I.e. show scales for given yardage? Never used one but I thought that was the theory behind the target shapes. I'll try finding image of target and post here for feedback.

If my logic is correct, as long as I know the size of the hash lines on target and can convert to MOA for given distance, it should give a rough measure of spacing.

Thanks for input.
