I'm not having good results in finding a 1 piece cantilever scope mount for my ar varmint upper that has a low scope height. I want to keep my scope height around 1.25 or under 1.375. I'm new at this, and I'm getting tired of this search. I'd like to tell you guys what I've come up with, and I'm all ears if you have different idea or can suggest some other parts. I found a scout rail or extended picatinny rail that will hang out 3" in front of my receiver. It's #GGG-1028. It will bring my height up .5" once mounted atop my rail. It's flanges are milled off on the front 3" inches for clearance over a typical hand guard. However I'd like one that has the flanges left on, because my smaller dia. rock river hand guard isn't a clearance issue. So if anyone knows of any other rail extensions w/o built in moa, please let me know. Rock rivers scout rail #aro134 is nice, but it will bring me up .650, which may be to much. Secondly, I'm hoping you guys know of some extremely low profile scope rings. I found some swfa that have a height of .8 and some badger ordance w/ height of .823 The badgers are $175 and the swfa are $35 from china. I'm a little afraid of the swfa and $175 may be a little much. I'm hoping to find something in between, steel or alum. Thanks.
