For the M21 the choice was always a USO 1.8-10x37mm Tpal. When I learned of the scopes existence I knew it is what it had to have.

Now for the 6920 Colt the options have been overwhelming. I've had a M4 aimpoint on it. Nice, but not for me really. I've tried various ACOGs on others rifles and didn't find them to be for me either. I also tried a 3x9 accupoint once. Didn't like it either, for this rifle. I was seriously thinking of buying a USO SN12, but after trying ACOGs, I thought fixed 4 isn't really for me. I believe now since the SN3 I have coming will have the C2 reticle, the SN4 with the same reticle would make the most sense. So that is why it is on the want list. For it though I'm going to wait for the mini EREK knob to be an option.

Re: Help me choose an Optic (Poll)

The benefits of an Aimpoint out weight the negatives for me. Local 3 gun matches never go out past 100 yds so there's no use for magnification. Even at 200 yds, the 2moa dot is perfect. In real world civilian use, I can't think of any time when you would need more than an Aimpoint. Shooting someone at 100yds is hard to explain to the police.

If you're going out to 3-600 yds as well as close quarters, it's hard to beat the ACOG Marine Corp version.

If you're shooting mainly 300+ yds, get a Premier

I voted for nightforce, but I think that the SWFA 1-4x maybe just as good and cheaper. If you are really shooting out to 600 I think you need to consider getting a better gun before you think about buying a optic that cost much more than the one you have. I also think that at those ranges you would be better off buying Dueck Defense RTS (Rapid Transition Sights) and a scope that is at least 12x.
