Looking for a scope for a particular use case. These are the features I need:
Side parallax
Low magnification no higher than 3x
High magnification no lower than 10x
Objective no smaller than 36mm
Weight no more than 22 oz
Length no longer than 13"
Glass quality as high as possible

If you can deal with an additional 1.2 oz, the Steiner H6Xi 2-12x42 should meet all the other requirements.

Going to look at that one. Anyone have experience with the Steiner Predator 4S? It's only missing the 3x bottom end. Very unique feature set. 4-16x44 10.9" long, 18 ounces.

Another one that almost makes it is the Swaro Z8 1.7-13.

a few oz heavier than you want....but its probably all the money and ZCO has great glass. Can get either 1st or 2nd FP.

I’d look at these (double check specs before you buy, and prices may have also changed from when I gathered this info). I included the Delta Stryker even though it’s above 3x it’s a pretty wide FOV so it’s comparable to many 3x scopes. Your weight limitation is a tough one but it’s one I happen to agree with you on!

28 ounces is getting too far out there. Thanks for the March recommendation. This one would also fit:
D24V42FIMAN (MOA, Normal, Illumi)

Fwiw, adjustment range is a non issue, and neither is FFP or SFP. Exposed, capped or locking turrets are all good as well.

Sorry I don’t know how I confused 22oz for 28. You’ll be looking at a different class of optics in general.

No, its for hunting thick areas with a .300 BLK on a lightweight suppressed SBR that also enjoys some clip on use (hence the length restriction due to rail space). I've been running the Razor HD LH 1.5-8x32 for years on this setup and its been deadly. Ran across a scenario yesterday evening at low light that was frustrating. I had a buck in multiple layers of thick stuff that I had a clear broadside shot on, however I could not determine if it was an 8 point that I had been seeing that I didn't want to shoot, or a 10 point as it was so thick.

Side parallax would have been able to cut through the brush and focus directly on the antlers. Lack of light was not yet the issue, but it was getting dark quick. A larger objective than 32mm would be welcome since we are making the change anyway and a bit more reach than the 8x top end especially as my eyes continue to age. The bottom end mag requirement is to maintain a decent FOV as things move quickly where I hunt. Weight requirement for obvious reasons. SFP is perfectly fine for this cartridge, probably preferred unless someone has a really usable FFP that fits the bill.

Until you check these out, don't laugh and remember if you can quarter the target w/the ret you have enough power. For straight-up killing I dumped everything USO, Leupold, Bushnell, ect and now only run Hawke 14211's or 14225's. They work great w/clip on's as well.

I have never in my life looked at Hawke. I mainly attempt to avoid buying Ch-Ch-China. Browsing their webpage though, these two options are extremely interesting from a feature set standpoint:
