Gonna be placing an order for a manners T2 here shortly.

Gonna be going on a rem 700 sa.

I'm thinking 2 studs on left side, bipod stud up front, pillars installed on stock, OD green finish.

Anything I'm missing?? First time ordering a stock....

Re: Help me order my new Manners T2

Id make sure you put a couple studs on bottom also. Well if you put the bipod stud on up front, and the bipod comes with a stud on it then you will only need one in the rear. I say this for unsupported positions using a sling. Better sling manipulation when it is connected to the bottom of the stock as opposed to the side. JMHO.

Other than that sounds like you gotter covered bud. Lemme know how you like the Manners stock. Im thinking about the MCS-T5A for my Rem 700 SA.

Re: Help me order my new Manners T2

Have a think about a rail at the front. I put one on my McM HTG so I can run an Atlas. Use a 3" and you will have room to add a sling attachment too.

Also a recoil pad/spacer system?

Re: Help me order my new Manners T2

why studs on the side, why not flush cups? Me personally i would have Todd cut me up a T2A:

Rem 700 SA inlet
Bottom Metal of your choice, or rock their Mini Chassis
1 Stud up front
2 Flush Cups, Left Side
KMW Loggerhead Cheekpiece
However long LOP you need
Whatever Color you want.

Re: Help me order my new Manners T2

yah i meant flush cups on the left side. I dont want an adjustable cheek piece or LOP.

I had troubles with a McMillan HTG cheek piece coming loose to often.

I know Terry's is supposed to be much better but I didn't need it that bad anyhow.

Plus it helps keep the weight and cost down for now.

Re: Help me order my new Manners T2

Fear not the logger head KMW cheek piece, it is a far superior design to the McMillan. I could not imagine getting an aftermarket stock without some type of adjustable cheek piece. You won't be disappointed.

What he said.

I have it installed on my T4, it is rock solid. Adjustable cheeks are worth it in my book. What happens if you decide to mount a different scope and the height is not right for proper cheek weld. You are worry free with the Logger head set up. Not to mention consistency of proper cheek weld, from my own experiences it seemed that with stock packs after a while they "break in" like a baseball glove and it doesn't tend to be the same as when you first bought it. Also for the less than $150 between having one and not I would just eat the cost because of the "what if". Like I said, this is just my 2 cents.

Well he could go down to the local surplus and my himself and isomat and make himself a cheekpiece. Cost him all of $1.50 for the mat and $2.00 for the ducttape. Ive been using mine for years and never had an issue.

On a side note, my next stock will have an adjustable cheelpiece.haha. Cosmetics mostly.
