Help me pick a chassis for a B14R Heavy

Not with X-Ray, but the front half is the same as the Bravo. Mine took a lot of adjustment to feed properly, but I finally got it working reliably.

Did you end using their adjustable mag catch to get it to work?

If you do rebarrel go as long as possible, so 24".

It's almost impossible to get too much weight on the front of the rifle, whereas it's almost impossible to remove weight from the rear.
My next aftermarket barrel will be 1.125” and 26” long. I’m getting tired of carrying extra weight to balance because the leverage arm is too short.

Anyone try an ARC Xylo?
As half promised a few weeks ago, I tossed the B14R in the Xylo a moment ago.
I don’t know what I was remembering about feeding issues. It cycled three dummy rounds fine. I did have to firmly seat the mag to get it to latch.
I’ll put a trigger back in it and actually fire it tomorrow.

I took a short video, but I can’t figure out how to share it. Screw it, I’m going to bed.

I just recently sold my B14R trainer with the steel 18 inch barrel and purchased the B14R barreled action with the 20 inch heavy barrel. I've got it in an MDT XRS with the optional enclosed front end. With a Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 mrad and MPA BA one piece scope mount, it just needs a small amount of front end weight to balance. That was my main gripe with the B14R trainer with the steel 18 inch. That version needed a bunch of front end weight to balance for PRS 22. If this thing shoots Norma Tac-22 as good as the 18 inch, I'll be happy.

I got my B14R with the 20 inch heavy stainless barrel mounted in an MDT XRS chassis today. Without the bipod it balances almost perfectly for PRS 22. I’ll add some small weights out front and then it should be good. I hope this is as trouble free as the B14R HMR I sold. Looking forward to getting it to the range.

The B14R is running fine in the Xylo, for what it is worth. I need to put it back in the TIMBR (the churched-up orphaned XRS) before I text my dealer or star perusing the PX for a third Xylo!
