Help me spend my money: Seekins

Have an itch for a precision Gas Gun with a nice optic. Have access to range out to 1000 yards. Steel every 100 yards.

Wanting to go with Seekins for the reputation of accuracy, etc

Can’t decide between the 18” DMR in .223 wylde or the SP10 in 6.5cm 22”. I understand they have the 6ARC in the DMR but for what I already have I want to stay with the .223 or 6.5cm.

For those that have had gone down this road or are on it would you recommend the AR15 plateform or AR10? Both, from reviews, are going to give me sub MOA accuracy with match ammo.

DMR $1,800
SP10 $2,800 (worth that extra grand?)

Thoughts? Best bang for the buck?

I've have and shoot a lot of precision AR-15 and own a SP-10 in 6.5CM 22" s well. Past 600yds, there is no comparison. If you want to shoot to 1200 yds, I'd go SP-10.

If you will spend most of your time under 600 yds the added ammo cost is hard to justify.

I agree with the above post. My SP10 is a laser and will hold 3/4 MOA consistently with 6.5 handloads. Shooting large frame gas guns is much more challenging and I find I need to be on my game to settle back in after shooting small frame or bolt guns. They don't leave room for sloppiness.

Agree with above comments. I would even say if shooting past 400 consistently you’ll be glad you chose the 6.5 CM. Much easier to spot hits and misses.

Agree above. SP10 for 1000yd. You will not be disappointed.

6.5CM will make a lot more sense for consistent 1,000 yard shooting. .223 is pretty sporty at that distance.

6 ARC would be the perfect middle ground, but I understand not wanting to take on a new cartridge.

I have both of them and the 6 ARC and the SP10 in 6.5 is my favorite and the one I always grab for long distance shooting

I have both. Honestly you can’t go wrong with either of them. If you like a challenge shoot 223 at distance. They’re both super accurate.
