Help! Mystery pin - AICS stock

Well ....I decided to give my Bolt rifle a new look and did what I call a "Desert Blend Camo job". I removed the skins from my 1.5 AICS stock and when I removed the long front handguard panels this PIN fell on the floor. For the life of me I can't see where it goes or what its even for! Any suggestions?

It's one of the magazine release pivot pins. They fit super loose and are held in place by spring tension and the stock sides. Take your sides off, and you'll see
