Rifle Scopes Help Needed: Zeiss elev. maxed still 12" low @100?

Im trying to get my dads mark v weatherby on at 100 yards. He has a Zeiss 4.5-14-44 mildot on EGW 0 MOA rail with Weaver Tactical rings that are highs. When you look through bore at target, scope is aiming at bottom of target with no more clicks left to go up. I dont know what to do. HELP!!!!!!!

I dont know how to up load pics, but rings sit in rail perfectly, i used this set up on all my rifles, yet this damn weatherby has given me hell. Did same thing with 2 piece weaver mounts??? I dont know what the hell is up

My father had the same problem with the same model rifle. Turned out the smith that put the scope mount on stuck a bunch of shims under the rear. Took those out and it was fine.

I mean this is at a 100 yards? WTF? We use to have it on at a 100 with same scope but he didnt like leupold dovetail turn in rings he liked my rail so ordered and know not even hitting paper?

are you sure you have the correct base? Wby mk5 and mk5 lightweight use different bases. Maybe wrong one? Dont remember hole spacing but is it possible it is backwards? Are the rings the same height? Switch front and rear rings and see if it bore sights the same. Is the ring diameter off and the scope not sitting in the bottom of the ring?

I had the same issue with a Mark V in 243. I switched to Talley bases and the issue went away.

if scope is aiming at bottom of target and bore is dead center u need to turn the knobs in the down direction to bore site it. remember down on scope moves bullet down or retical up ( up moves bullet up or retical down
