I want to go ahead and start the process on getting a suppressor. Here's the wishlist and keep in mind I know nothing about Suppressors.

I want to use on Tikka T3 .308 20" and also want to be able to use on 5.56 16" with an adaptor. The 5.56 has a muzzle brake on it, the .308 doesn't yet. Something easy to switch out from rifle to rifle would be great and as consistent as possible in accuracy.

Please point me in the right direction, I don't even know where to start looking. Thanks for any help!

Geneva, google! Read all you can handle then find a local to demo her can. Most folks are more than willing to share all they know and then some. Shoot a few brands/models to help make the most informed decision. Add a .22lr can to your buy list to get it our of the way sooner than later. Then wait, and wait, and wait.

A QD .308 can with available mounts for 5.56 and 7.62 rifles sounds like it would work well for you. Those are available from about a dozen manufacturers. AAC 762 SDN-6, SWR SpecWar 7.62, SilencerCo Saker 762, TBAC, Surefire SOCOM, just to name a few.

Depending on where you live in NC there is a suppressor shoot at the end of the month at DPRC range in Durham. There will be various suppressor manufacturers with demo suppressors to try out as well as class 3 dealers with different suppressors that they sell that you can demo. It would be a good start to try out some of the different offerings at one place. Guys are going to be bringing out their personally owned suppressors as well.

Thanks Chuck I live 45 minutes from Durham, that is definitely going on my calendar! I bet I could get my instructor to go to that too if he's still home.
