Help Trimming Cases

Hey guys I have a lee zip trim and the lee case length gauge for 30-06 and 223 the problem I'm having is the case length gauge will not fit all the way in to trim the case after it's decapped what am I doing wrong doesn't make sense any help would be very appriciated

Thanks for the video but the problem is after i deprime/resize the case the insert it in the lee zip trim the case length gauge will not fit in the case here are the pics the bottom picture the case length gauge will not go any farther that mark on the gauge where it steps up to a bigger size its like it wasnt machined all the way
