My husband has an at 15 and an ar 300 blackout(just built the 300 blackout) trying to find a mounted tactical light for one of them. I bought surefire M series scout light but I’m not sure if it’s good or not. I read reviews and it seems like surefire is always in the top 10. I just wanna give him the best on a budget of under $300. I would really love to surprise him and give him something he will love.

Surefire M-Series lights are great.

The M340C and M300C are both 500 lumens. The 340 has an offset picatinny and MLOK mount.

The M600DF, M640U, and M600U are 1200 lumens. The M640U comes with offset mounts like the M340. The M600DF uses rechargeable and C123 batteries.

If you want to buy a light for his other AR, this is a nice setup.

A half decent BJ goes a long way.

Funny I just had a similar conversation with my significant other. A friend of hers called my SO and asked if she could buy a bottle of Blanton's from me for a Christmas present for her husband. I explained to the SO that 1., it is a complete breach of etiquette to ask as no man would ask another man to buy a bottle unless it was for a serious accomplishment - went to the moon, awarded MOH, etc., and B., give the guy a BJibber. He has had Blanton's this year, he can go to a bar and buy a glass of Blanton's. He hasn't had a Bjibber over a decade. He wants one of those.
She was not amused. Now as far as I can tell, neither one of us are getting a Bjibber for Christmas.

Great choice of light for the rifle.

Also, if you want, there is a pressure switch which you screw on a tail cap and the switch mounts to a standard picatinny rail on the handguard.

You light be able to track down the tail cap piece and the pressure switch separately on E bay.

Maybe for his birthday next year?

I was going to mention an arisaka 600 e2xtd, or modlite. Both can be had for less than 300. Here’s my modlite okw.

Surefire Scout 300 with a click tail cap.

Find a mount where it'll mount at like the 10 o clock on the weak side so it can be mounted so that when he holds the rifle at the foreend, he can move his thumb forward an inch or two and activate the tail cap without moving his hand.

This prevents light NDs; tape switches on rifles are for PEQ15s.

I just built an SRB. My hour search brought me to the conclusion that nothing beats a mini scout. I'm not about to throw $300 down on a flashlight though on top of a rifle I just spent thousands to build. One of my extra surefires will have to do for now. I got the MLoc Odin mount. With a 7.3" barrel that mini-scout is appearing to be my best option though. Its on my bucket list for it after a proper paint job from Wilson if they ever get caught up.

We poors don't get PEQ's for personal rifles. LOL

have you seen the arisaka 300 series? Their lights are really good and an excellent company to deal with.
