Help with a colt match target hbar ii

Hey guys I recently picked up a nice colt match target hbar ii. With 16" barrel. I pulled the handguard off and barrel dates it to 1999. Well I'm changing the barrel on this and when I pulled the bolt I noticed it's completely flat not round like a full auto or semi round like a semi auto. My question is will this bolt have cycling issue due To that weight being cut off as I am planning on going with a different barrel and thought I might have to change out this bolt as well. Any help would be much appreciated. By the way this does no have any sort of sear block like on some of the banned versions.

Might be a California bolt. One that can't be made full auto. I've seen few but don't remember the exact configuration.

Colt half moon bolt carrier, nothing wrong with them, unshrouded firing pin, a little sore on the firing pin retaining pin (cotter pin), might be a little rough on your buffer face eventually. Shouldn't have an problems with the weapon cycling and if there is a problem when you change out the barrel, it probably going to be nothing to do with the bolt carrier.

well i did notice that the buffer was molded in plastic. Thanks for the replies was just curious.

Now you said that this is a unshrouded firing pin but I just want to double check, but it looks to be shrouded to me, I can get a better pic

I was under the impression most were not, that's why I said that. It shouldn't matter, just run it.

There will be no issues with that carrier, but I would suggest replacing that plastic buffer.

Yeah I ordered a new buffer spring as well as a new barrel still need a free float guard thinking about a troy alpha rail. I'll post a pic when I get her finished up.
