I’ve narrowed it down to 2 different 18” .308 barrels to finish my build.
If you’ve run either one of these or maybe both, I’m really interested in feedback as I’ve never run either brand. Thanks

    Rainier Arms Match 18” fluted
    Faxon Match 18” Heavy fluted

I know it's not what you asked and not trying to change your mind, but why only those two?

I'm not in the market for one, but if I was a Criterion barrel would be pretty high on my list. I have a 223 wlyde one and it shoots bug holes at 100 yards.

I had an 18" Ballistic Advantage Government Profile which I only put Hornady American Whitetail and PMC through was a hog gun. Sold that upper to a guy and ran into him several months ago. He walked to his truck and pulled out a load development target with a group I won't soon forget .364"....way better shot than I am and won't forget the number that was the address of a home I used to live in about 20 years ago!

Honestly, there are soooo many barrels available out there, I had to narrow it down a bit. Faxon because I’ve heard good things about their match barrels and Rainier for the same reason, plus I live about 10 minutes from their shop.
