**Help with hand rail information, AA-6.5 Grendel

[Rifle Barrel Blanks]

Hey guys, I am very new to AR platforms,

I have a Alex Arms 6.5 grendel overwatch upper. I would like put a quad rail on it instead of the round carbon fiber tube that is on it now.

I am wanting a seekins quad rail, can I just swap them over, anyone know if that is possible? Same thread and everything?

Yes, you'll just have to take yours off, and then replace it with the rail you want. Yours will probably have to be taken off with some sort of strap wrench. Some of those type handguard, the handguard itself has the barrel nut incorporated into it. Some of Rock Rivers are that way. I don't know what style the Seekins uses, but it will just be a matter of either changing the nut to the one that comes with the Seekins rail, putting it on the existing nut, or getting a new barrel nut if neither has one. Do a youtube search and you'll find lots of videos from brownells, midway, and others that show how to remove and replace handguard systems.
