I ordered a mcmillan A5 adjustable stock from long range hunting to fit my remington 700 l/a xcr tactical in 338 lapua. it came with a cheap badger m5 knockoff dbm and magazine that fits the standard inlet so i opted for the badger M5 dbm inletted stock. I have come to find out now that badger changed the design of the bottom metal and mag and it is called the CIP version which is a little longer to accommodate custom loads. does anyone know if it will fit the stock i just ordered? I contacted badger they said no, it had to be special ordered from mcmillan, I contacted mcmillan and they said it will fit and thay have not changed anything in their design. if anyone has any idea about this from experience I would love to know.

Plus one on the bedding. I would check the part fit to see how "off" it is. Can't imagine it would be so much that you couldn't, with a little judicious filing, make it fit

The badger cip is the same inlet. The only thing that changed was the inside measurement of the box. The outside measurement remains the same . Also Mcmillan says you dont need to bed there custom drop in stocks but for supreme accuracy i bed all my mcmillan stocks. just one less variable to worry about when it comes to accuracy problems.
