Rifle Scopes Help with scope choice for 223 bolt gun

Having trouble trying to decide which scope for a Rem sps semi custom 18" bolt gun

mainly for coyotes and some targets out to 300 yards or so

Vortex PST 2.5-10 x 32 FFP
Vortex PST 4.5-16 x 50 FFP

both are about the same money

You also might consider the new SS 3-15x42 if you don't need illumination - $699.00 It just came out, but inital reviews seem to be very positive and a great value for the money. Past reports on the Vortex 4-16 were that the glass was sub par for alot of people.

Get the 2.5-10x32. Great little scope for the money. Bright and clear. I have one on order through Scott at Liberty Optics. Plan on putting it on an 18" POF in a Warne RAMP with a small red dot on the 45 degree rail.

Higher mag if target shooting is a criteria. 4-16 or 6-24. Look at elite 4200 and sightron siii also.

We have both in stock. I'm doing the same thing but mine is 16.5". I would recommend the 2.5-10x32mm FFP out of the 2 you have listed. The glass on the 2.5-10x32mm seams nicer than the 2.5-10x44mm also.

Yotee gun. Get the 2.5. Tracking that sucker on the move will be more difficult than zooming in.
