Rifle Scopes Help with scope choice.

So I'm in the market for a scope and have been looking at these two in particular:
*Viper PST 4-16x50 EBR-1 MOA Reticle | 30mm Tube
*Viper HS 4-16x50 LR Dead-Hold BDC Reticle | 30mm Tube

Can people please make suggestions for other brand equivalents? Are these scopes good choices?

P.s. Whilst writing this post I also read on the vortex website about first focal plane reticles, the price inflates considerably when this option is selected, but I really like the idea of my reticle changing with the adjustments made to magnification instead of a fixed size. Thanks.

There have been a lot of posts covering the PST's vs XXXX...........did through the Optics section and/or googly. should find a good number of comparisons from the Hide and elsewhere.

In short - the PSTs in FFP are nice, with pretty solid glass, very nice considering the price. Beyond that, CS has been excellent.

Others will chime in to look into the Sightron SIII, Super Sniper, Zeiss Conquest, Bushness Elite, Weaver Tact. line.

In the end, not sure if you get that much more of a scope by going with the others, and if you spend more money one would tell you to keep saving and buy a NF NXS or ............
