So, I've been hanging on to a gift card I received a while back and have been torn what to buy. The issue is... the card is for a store that notoriously over prices just about everything

* I can only get one, these prices reflect what I would pay after using my whole gift card. Just for a new toy, NOT selling afterwards.

Today I've decide to narrow the list to the rangefinders available. Anyone who has either sole or comparative experience/opinion with any of these models please chime in. I added several others to consider after more searching and member suggestions.

Any info would be appreciated, even negative or 'stay away from' feedback

$99 Nikon rifle hunter 1000 rangefinder
$119 Leopold Rx 800i with DNA rangefinder
$179 Vortex rangefinder 1000
$199 Buhnell G-force 1300 arc
$199 Leopold Rx-1000i tbr compact with DNA
$399 Bushnell Elite 1600 arc
$399 Leica CRS 1000
$449 Zeiss Victory PRF 1300 8x
$499 Bushnell Fusion 1600 arc range-finding Binos
$599 Leica range master 1600-b

I'm not so familiar with the group of rangefinders; I've seen a few of them but don't remember each model specifically.

Thoughts? Any input from someone who owns some of these would be appreciated. I apologize for the lengthy list and thank again to anyone who spends the time to go through it.

Re: Help: What to buy at these prices. Gift Card

Thanks guys,

Rob.308-
What's your opinion on the rifle hunter 1000 compared to the bushnell and leupold in that same range? Anything stand out otherwise?

Johnnyappleseed-
I haven't owned any Swarovski glass, but I'm sure it would stand out in comparison to the others I'm looking at.
The Leica CrS 1000 and range master 1600-b are stocked for $399 & $599 respectively. I've heard and read about them, but have not seen any model in person. It might be Something to consider, I'm curious how they perform at twice the cost of some of the lower end I was looking at. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Thanks again-

Re: Help: What to buy at these prices. Gift Card

I bought a Leupold RF 1000 with TBR a few months ago and was actually surprised on how clear the class was.It was fairly accurate and consistant on the readings from what my naked eye could tell. I wanted to get a leica but it was out of my limit at that time and needed one for elk season. But the leupold is a good choice.

How's the leupold 1000 range finder compare to the some of the bushnell line? Priced similar to the elite arc 1600.

Don-n-Texas, I may wait till Black Friday/ cyber Monday. The nearest store is 2 hours plus from me so I'm looking online right now. I received the card last Xmas, would assume it depreciates this December or whenever it was purchased. Good idea, I've waited so long already and I'm growing impatient, but will be smarter to wait a couple weeks.
