Re: help with this ladder

Was it a little windy? 3,4,5,and 6 look like the elevation is holding, but the wind may have pushed on them a little. I'd look at a load around those shots.

Re: help with this ladder

how did you determine your seating depth ? what kind of dies are you using ? what kind of rifle are you using ? scope ?

ya 3-6 looks ok ,grouping overall looks bad though , i would re-do the test. Maybe try 2 rounds at each weight charge, shot round robin style ,that might give more conclusive results. Or play with the seating depths.

Re: help with this ladder

I'd go with loads 3-6 and focus around 4-5. Run another ladder with load 3-6 at distance or maybe do an OCW test with loads 3-6 and see what you come up with.

Re: help with this ladder

I agree 3-5 looks like it has potential. For my last load development I wasn't sure of my ladder so I did a OCW test using those that looked good from my ladder and picked a load from there. After that, I varied the seating depth. Try a OCW test with loads 3-6

Re: help with this ladder

I shot 2 warmer shots and then shot 5 shot groups each
74 gr h1000
74.5
75.0
The 75 gr out shined the other two with 1.75 group at 300. more testing but it looks promising..
