I need some math help
Im new to shooting with a scope i sold alot of my toys and got a S&B pm2 p4f with 1/8 moa and 120 click turrets per rev, after playing with mil/moa scope i find the setup alogical and a (waist full in a way)So i want to use mil becouse 1 i think in meters faster and mils make sense to me. MOA is like a tree goat to me i can stare at it but still, i dont understend it a mil retical/moa turrets..?why.. it seemed like a good idea when i was buying it..anyway my ranting may make sense to the chosen.

ok im new so please bear with me(i got my the info from learning snipershide)

1 mil @ 100y = about 27.5 clicks with 1/8 moa
y x 1.1 = m
1 mil @ 100m = about 30.3 clicks with 1/8 moa
.1 mil @ 100m 3 clicks with 1/8 moa
.33 mil = 1 click of 1/8 moa @ 100m
5 rev of 120 clicks (600clicks)of S&B turrets = about 200 mils ??

Re: HELPmath@100m 3 clicks of 1/8 moa = ? Mil

1/8 MOA @ 100 yards is .130875"

120 "clicks" per rev x .130875" gives you 15.705" per revolution

1 MIL @ 100 yards is 3.6"

15.705" / 3.6" = Your scope has 3.62 Mils/rev

Re: HELPmath@100m 3 clicks of 1/8 moa = ? Mil

I do my ranging with meters so to me if some one says 245yards i atomaticly go 245-10% = 245-24 =221 when i see a cat i say 30cm
everyone here uses yards even take for example the answer(witch i do by the way appreciate thank you sir :)are you able to explain that in meters ???

1/8 MOA @ 100 yards is .130875"

120 "clicks" per rev x .130875" gives you 15.705" per revolution

1 MIL @ 100 yards is 3.6" (1 MIL @ 100 meters is 3.96 - 10.0584 centimeters)

15.705" / 3.6" = Your scope has 3.62 Mils/rev

my scope is 3.62 Mils/rev ? 120 clicks
120 clicks = 3.62 mil ?

oh 120 clicks = 3.62 mils at 100 yard i'm assuming

so to me thats 3.96 at 100 meters
so 120 clicks of my S&B @ 100 metters = 3.96 mils
do i have that correct ?

I can't return it because i got the scope 6 months ego, never used it , and left to visit europe (were i got my SPUHR mount) i just got a Trg22 and have no moeny+0 moeny to spend, otherwise i would sell it and get a USO sn3 6x30x80 mil/mil maybe with h58 reticle

Re: HELPmath@100m 3 clicks of 1/8 moa = ? Mil

120 clicks of my S&B @ 100 metters = 3.96 mils
0.1 MIL = 1 cm @ 100 meters
3.96 mil= 39.6 cm @ 100 meters

5 rev of 120 clicks =(600clicks)of S&B turrets = 198cm @ 100 meters

is this correct?

Re: HELPmath@100m 3 clicks of 1/8 moa = ? Mil

You're killing yourself here. Since you're going to stick with it for now, you might as well get used to it. I recommend you think completely in metric since that is what you know. Quit converting into inches and yards completely, and quit counting clicks. Just go with the settings on the scope or you'll get lost trying to count that high.

Here's a few conversions for you to use:

One 1/8moa click = 0.33636125cm @ 100m (round as necessary)
1moa = 2.9089cm @ 100m
15moa (one revolution) = 43.6335cm @ 100m

You can take it from there. I've given you the raw numbers without too much rounding because if you start applying this too far downrange it can start making a difference.

The other issue will be using your reticle in conjunction with your turrets. Quick reference conversion charts can be picked up from Impact Data Books here:

Re: HELPmath@100m 3 clicks of 1/8 moa = ? Mil

thank you red for cm chart
the reason why i am pursuing this is that i can make new torrent my self for free and if the clicks match up i can can makeit work by my calculations i need 1.25 revolution to make 50cm @100m
so if i make a turret each 3 clicks will be .1cm @100m
