I just mounted the scope (0n a 20 moa base) and zeroed at 100 yds. At 0 I don't see the yellow line on elevation but when I get to 1.5 mils it becomes visible. Is that correct or should it appear after 12 mils which is the 1/2 way point on the dial?

From 0 I have 14.6 mils up and from 0 it goes down to 4.6(0 stop).

I think that there is a problem with your mounting that makes you loose a lot of elevation adjustment I don't know what is your setup but maybe you should use a base without the built in elevation.
also check how tall is your mounting maybe your rings are too hige

good luck

That 20 moa base will be fine. I had one for a short time and had about the same travel up as you. You need to take the top cap off and adjust the piece up or down (i can't remember without the manuel) that the screw in the center of the turret screws into. Adjust it one way or the other until the yellow line appears just before the turret reaches 12 mils or right at 12 mills. Very easy to do. I thought something was wrong with mine until i figured out how to adjust it.

I was too use to the p4 fine reticle in my S&B scopes. I just could not get used the the bigger crosshair and mil dots. Decided to keep them all the same. It was a very nice scope. Liked it alot other than that.
