I was thinking about the last badger M5 bottom metal I installed as in. Why are the screws that are included with this setup like 1/4-1/2" longer than needs to be? It you think about using the pillars etc of how it is supposed to be couldnt they cut them to near perfect length when they spec the part out?

But the pillars are a fixed length the floorplate is a fixed thickness, and most actions have about the same thickness on the ring for the threads. I can understand why they put these screws in the m4 floorplates cause you do have the variables you mention, but the M5 is a different cat. I would just like to have to cut a bit less off of them. maybe just a bump pass not a full on chop.
