Ive been kicking around a 1000yd rifle build and been trying to stay with the 308 and 06 parent case. I have not been able to find much info on the 708.
Is anyone using this cartridge for tatical/LR shooting?
Would you rate it as a good tatical cartridge?
How hard do you have to push it to get it to perform past 1000yds?
I ask these question because while I love the 06 case im wanting to stay with a short action, and im wanting my son to shoot with me and recoil could be to much for him. hes 11. This maybe a mote point cus when im done the rifle may weigh in at 15+ lbs.
