Wait just a second, this is clearly bullshit. There's no way in hell that the bad guy would have broken into this guys house, that just doesn't happen and since when do bad guys carry guns? I call bullshit on the whole premise and I thinkt he homeowner should be in prison for shooting those poor guys, I mean they just needed some gas for their truck.

They probably would have just taken a few things, whatever cash was on hand and left without harming anyone. The homeowner escalated things by retrieving a firearm.
