I've got a Milt Sparks VM II which I really love. I've been using it for a couple of years now and am very satisfied. The belt that I'm using is made by Filson, and is a double thickness harness leather. The fit on the VM II is tight enough that I must thread the belt through the already snapped loops. It is too tight to snap the loops over the belt.

Here's the problem. With some of the pants that I wear, the belt loops catch the holster and trap it exactly where I want to wear it, at the 4:00, right behind my hip. With some other pants, the belt loops are placed differently and the holster slides more to the 5:00 - 5:30 position over time. Unfortunately the pants that allow it to move are the most comfortable and blend in the best in my current environment.

Any ideas on how to keep this thing in place?

You could fill the space in between the next loop and the end of the holster with "stuff," maybe keepers or a three by five from Maxpedition.

Tighten your belt up a notch so the gun is tighter against your body. I had the same problem and just snugged up a bit and problem was solved. If your holster is loose enough to slide on a quality gun belt then something is too loose.

Re: Holster Slipping Around?

Thanks guys. I've tried tightening the belt, but it pretty much cuts me in half at that point. I'm pretty active and thin. The belt is smooth, the holster is smooth, and the undergarments are smooth. No reason for things not to shift with motion and activity. I'll try the spacers. I know a leather smith that can probably hook me up.

Simple is always better.
