It's not very big, but it does fit in the space requirements, fills the need, and its inexpensive. All together I think I paid about $250 at Lowe's.

Nice job. I do worry about how long that press is going to last on that corner. The particle board that is used for those tops is not very strong. I would look at replacing it with 3/4" ply wood double thick.
 
I envy wood working guys. I am more of a metal fellow, this is what I came up with for my last one.

I wondered that too. Perhaps you could remove the top and insert a piece of 3/4" plywood between it and the bench, and then re-install. That should dramatically improve its chances of longevity. Other than that, it looks very nice.
