Tosten David Walsh-Lommen. Sounds like a name Fletch would whip up.

(Photoshopped to remove ridiculous Chrysler Building in the middle of town.)

It seems that our cowboy forgot that he was supposed to ride off into the sunset, not away from it.

From Santa Cruz, CA + wearing V-neck = Not a Cowboy, hence why he was eastbound.

And the Daily Mail article got it wrong too, he's a California man picked up by SD troopers, not the reverse they wrote because Brits are clueless on US geography much in the way most Americans think Liverpool is a suburb of London. You have to be pretty stupid to get ticketed on I-90 too, especially if you have a dead hooker in the trunk. That's California stupid right there, one step shy of Florida stupid.

Red, you're overcomplicating it. Dead woman in the car equals driving reasonabke speed and signalling lane changes. And yes, the UK link had me considering the existence of a Rapid City, CA, which is why I posted the local link as well.

Hell,
Most people think Rapid City is in Iowa or North Dakota.
For some reason, South Dakota doesn't seem to exist.
BTW, I've taken that exit many times to drop into the convenience store on the south side of that view. IIRC, it was called One Stop Convenience Mart. They had a gun shop in there many years ago.
Coolest mini Mart in the world

edit:
It was called the Buckstop.

And just for the record , the Spearfish stock photo shows a brilliant sunset. Cowboys, even Hoboken ones who have never sat a horse, are supposed to ride off into whatever sunset is available, even if it means riding in circles in Murmansk until Spring.
