So I got a 22” 6.5 grendel barrel that came off a Ruger American, the barrel actually shot very well and only got 400 rounds thru it of all factory Hornady black (2532fps average). Am just wondering does anyone buy barrels like this? Is there any use for them in the Gunsmith’s community?

I had a custom Winchester 6.5 Creedmoor with PROOF barrel built by SAC a few years back. Mark removed the factory 308 barrel and I put it up on LRH and it sold within a few days, can't remember what I asked, maybe $75 or $100... so yes, I think there is a market for them you just have to put your ad in the right place. 6.5 Grendel is not as common so it may be a bit more difficult to sell, but you never know.

We sell many new and used take offs on ebay make sure your very clear on the description . We do a flat 15 bucks for shipping that seems to cover most of the lower 48 .
Figure out whats the minimum amount you can life with start the auction there and let it rip.

CDNN occasionally has new take off barrels... Someone buys a ton of rem 700 short action rifles and sells the extra parts...

They are fairly cheap... if I am paying a smith to rebarrel a rifle... I'll pay for a more accurate barrel...

If you have shot out a 308 or 223 in a rem 700 bolt gun... then you have spent enough on ammo to justify a good barrel...

but yes- used do sell
