Hornady bulk brass. Red/rusty shit in necks

Anyone else found this. Ordered 200 pieces from mid south supply bulk 6.5 creed and 50 pieces from midway of win mag that were not advertised as bulk but arrived loose in a box. Both batches are not what used to come in the red bags. Small dents, rusty colored shit in the necks, the 6.5’s primer pockets cut deeper than normal. Anyone else experienced this. The rusty shit doesn’t come out from tumbling or running a nylon bore brush in a cordless drill. It mostly comes out when sized but is it then properly sized, some is still in there. Wtf Hornady. Ideas on cleaning the inside of the necks.

Sounds like polish residue (like jeweler's rouge) left on the case. Not a huge deal...

Bulk brass is just that; bulk brass from the hopper. Dented necks and other cosmetic stuff is (to some extent) to be expected.

Would like to clean it off before I size the brass so it is not getting up in my dies. Brake cleaner won’t take it off rubbing with a q-tip.

I don't know what to tell you. It won't harm the dies. I'd just resize the stuff and shoot it, were it me.
