Has anyone got one of these tools and are they worth the money? I've heard from a few people that they noticed less fliers in their groups when using this tool. Any opinions? Thanks!

Yes they are a good tool as not only can they tell you if you have run out they can fix it. I have played with one before and really liked it. It's on my list of tools to get.

Re: Hornady Concentricity tool

I dont actually own this tool however I was interested in it because of its ability to correct for runout.

I have done a lot of reading up on it however, and many suggestions were to purchase a sinclair, or better quality unit, that just measures runout.

You measure at the end of each stage of your handloading, and determine if at some stage runout was introduced... at that point you then work out how to eliminate the problem altogether.

I guess its more of a preventative measure than a fix to a problem. It makes sense to me.

I would say it would be a good little tool regardless.

I have one and the tool itself is good but I would suggest getting a different gauge if you purchase one. The gauge that came with mine was shit. And from all the reading I have done it is right in line with everyone elses experience.

I have one and it's great. Most the other ones you have to hold the case with one finger and spin it with another. The Hornady unit just put it in and spin away. For the 100 bucks you pay it's definately worth it.
